Dare I
When Yeshua is colonized, sanitized and whitewashed where is Christ? Dare I ponder the experiences of the oppression into which he was born, lived and died. Dare I wrestle in prayer with corrosive assumptions of his “whiteness”. Dare I encounter him in the leper, the outcast and the Samaritan? Dare I risk embracing Christ in the full humanity of people in Black and Brown bodies and be transformed? Dare I be Christ in solidarity with them by resisting all forms of racism and white supremacy.

powerful .... ❤️
Hard as it is, yes, we dare because Jesus died--even for those who mistreated and crucified him. We pray, we protest, and we strive to be like Jesus to those who bastardize everything he stood for and taught.
